Except as noted, camps are located at the YMCA main facility at 3000 Racquet Club Drive, south of South Airport Road in Traverse City and the 40 acre Boardman Nature Area.
Y Day Camp - Young Explorers
For campers age 3 ½ to 4, campers participate in the YMCA’s values based curriculum. Camp is located at the Y Child Care Center at 1100 Woodmere Ste B in Traverse City.
Y Day Camp - K Camp
K-Camp will provide children 5 years old and those going into Kindergarten an age appropriate level of activities similar to the traditional day camp.
Y Day Camp - Traditional Camp
For campers entering grades 1 – 6, campers participate in activities designed a different theme each week. Campers are divided into age-appropriate groups and remain with their group most of the week.
Y Day Camp - Sports Camp
Sports Camp will give children going into 4th to 6th grades the opportunity with either be introduced or polish their skills. Each week will feature a new sport ranging from basketball, soccer, flag football, lacrosse, baseball, and canoeing. The camp will undergird YMCA values and sportsmanship.
Y Day Camp - Arts Camp
A new four week Arts Camp is form children entering 4th to 6th grades. The four themes include “Native American Arts”, “Arts through the Ages”, “Michigan Wildlife”, and “Arts Expression.” Each theme will allow campers to experience different mediums as an introductory and interest level in the arts.
Y Day Camp - Leader's Club
Leaders Club is for 7th, 8th, and 9th graders moving to model values and leadership throughout the various camps. Special application process required. See forms above to download.
